Manager, Clinical Services & Workforce Development

Manager of Clinical Services and Workforce Development In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing tracking and monitoring of clinical service initiatives, inclusive of population health and various system-wide improvement initiatives, as well as developing orientation programs, training, and professional development for clinical and non‑clinical staff across the medical group…and collaborate with the hospital and serve as a system liaison. Benefits Comprehensive Benefits (Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, FSA) Employer matched retirement plan Competitive wages Paid time off for personal/vacation/sick Six paid holidays per year Educational assistance Day shift schedules Responsibilities Oversees execution, development, and KPI for all clinical services within population health, including care management, remote patient monitoring, and other initiatives such as ER utilization reduction and readmission reduction. Oversees the development and implementation of system-wide workforce development initiatives, including the Medical Assistant Academy, MA to LPN/RN development programs, workforce leadership initiatives, and ongoing staff development opportunities. Manages the Medical Assistant Academy: participates in hiring interviews, selects participants, and coordinates the training program. Leads on‑site study days with EMR training, curriculum instruction, CCMA exam preparation, and skills training (vital signs, glucometer, suturing, staple removal). Rotates through clinics to check‑in, train, and support clinic preceptors and Academy participants. Completes post‑program completion check‑in with Academy participants one month after successful completion. Manages and coordinates orientation for clinical and non‑clinical staff. Presents information using a variety of instructional techniques and formats such as role playing, simulations, team exercises, group discussions, videos, and lectures. Trains staff on standardized workflow utilizing the EMR. Leverages teammates across Meritas to improve training efforts and hold staff accountable. Oversees rollout of technology, people, process, and technology functions to implement clinical services. Works with and across a variety of disciplines to implement clinical services, improve patient care, and meet the organization’s strategic plan for Population Health and other clinical services. Participates in talent life‑cycle management, including recruiting, hiring, onboarding, orientation, mentoring, development, engagement, retention, performance management, and time keeping of the Population Health team and MA Academy students. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in nursing (required); Master’s degree preferred. RN (Registered Nurse) license in the state of Missouri (required). Minimum of 3 years management experience (required); 5 years preferred. Minimum 3 years population health experience (required); 5 years preferred. BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from AHA (required). High level of flexibility, adaptability, and organizational skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, demonstrated by developing training materials and leading group training sessions. Strong organizational and prioritization skills. Excellent interpersonal skills, characterized by tact, diplomacy, and articulateness. Basic computer skills. Self‑motivating, positive team member, and accountable for own work responsibilities.
