Job Summary:

The Operations Specialist will mainly be responsible for receiving GIK, sorting, storing, and distributing purchased and donated foods, housekeeping, and personal care supplies using a continual computerized inventory system. As needed this position will drive and transport guests and products to and from shelters or businesses and will be assigned repair/maintenance tasks.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Receive and distribute purchased and donated foods, clothing, housekeeping, personal care and other items.
• Pull shelter orders promptly; update the inventory and shelter order email chain, and place the ordered items in the outbound deliveries zone.
• Make deliveries as assigned by the Transportation and Donations Manager. This could be shelter orders or taking Mission guests to appointments.
• Manage the inflow of all GIK (donated food, clothing, housekeeping, personal care, and other items). Ensure that all incoming items are properly documented in an approved and timely manner. Process the incoming items by adding items to inventory, moving the items to the appropriate area, or sending the items to the City Thrift team as appropriate.
• As equipped and trained, will assist with maintenance and repair work orders throughout Mission facilities.
