Farmers Insurance District 20 is supporting a network of 60+ independently owned Farmers Insurance agencies across North Texas as they continue to grow their teams.

We are looking to connect qualified candidates with Farmers agency owners seeking motivated Insurance Sales Producers and Licensed Insurance Professionals throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW) Metroplex and surrounding North Texas communities.

As an Insurance Producer working for a Farmers agency owner, you will help prospective and existing customers understand insurance options designed to protect what matters to them. This is a sales-focused opportunity for someone who enjoys building relationships, developing new business, working with customers, and growing within the insurance industry.

Opportunities may be available with Farmers agency owners throughout North Texas based on current agency staffing needs.

Responsibilities

Common responsibilities for appointed Insurance Producers may include:

• Prospecting, networking, and developing new leads
• Establishing contact with prospective customers and scheduling appointments
• Identifying customer insurance needs and recommending appropriate solutions
• Conducting insurance sales presentations and providing quotes
• Following up with prospects and existing customers
• Meeting with existing customers to conduct policy reviews
• Cross-selling additional insurance products when appropriate
• Developing referral opportunities and building relationships within the local community
• Maintaining accurate customer and prospect information
• Working toward individual and agency sales goals

Requirements

Candidates seeking appointment as an Insurance Producer must:

Hold the insurance license(s) required by the applicable state and position

Be able to pass an applicable background check

Have strong communication and relationship-building skills

Be comfortable with prospecting, follow-up, and sales conversations

Be self-motivated and able to work in a goal-oriented environment

Previous insurance or sales experience may be beneficial, although individual Farmers agency owners determine their own hiring requirements.
