- Conduct comprehensive evaluations for patients spanning pediatric to geriatric age groups using established assessment tools and observation methods.
- Create individualized treatment plans that target both immediate goals and overarching communication, cognitive, or swallowing aspirations.
- Deliver personalized speech therapy interventions focused on enhancing language, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing capabilities.
- Engage in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, including physical therapists, occupational therapists, nursing staff, physicians, caregivers, and family members to cultivate comprehensive care approaches.
- Provide education to patients and their families to empower progress outside of clinical settings.
- Participate in occasional inpatient assessments and therapy sessions, ensuring care consistency throughout the recovery journey.
- Maintain thorough and timely documentation in line with state, federal, and organizational regulations.
- Stay abreast of the latest advancements in speech pathology through ongoing professional development and collaboration with peers.
- A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if you are not yet ASHA-certified.
- A valid state license as a Speech Language Pathologist .
- Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
- A Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within the first 30 days of employment.
- Expertise in evidence-based therapeutic strategies for individuals of all ages, with a strong foundation in both developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
