Travel Clinical Research Coordinator - California Position Summary: The Travel Clinical Research Coordinator plays a key role in supporting new research sites through study opening activities and early enrollment efforts for our sites in California. This role provides operational support during high enrollment periods or site staffing gaps to ensure sites are prepared, compliant, and aligned with study expectations. The Travel Clinical Research Coordinator collaborates with investigators, sponsors, CROs, and site staff while maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements, study protocols, and Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines. Key Responsibilities: Travel to assigned research sites to manage day to day study operations including patient recruitment, screening, enrollment, and follow up visits Educate and support site personnel on study procedures, expectations, and compliance requirements Coordinate site opening activities to ensure new sites are prepared for study launch Support early enrollment efforts by guiding sites through startup tasks and recruitment expectations Independently manage travel logistics including scheduling, travel documentation, and proactive communication with site stakeholders Maintain audit and inspection readiness and support sites during monitoring visits and regulatory reviews Clinical Research Coordinator Responsibilities: Coordinate and manage clinical research protocols from startup through close out Recruit, screen, consent, and enroll participants according to study protocols and ethical standards Schedule and conduct study visits and procedures per protocol and ICH GCP requirements Collect, maintain, and document accurate study data including source documentation Prepare and submit IRB materials including amendments, continuing reviews, and adverse event reports Ensure timely and accurate electronic data capture (EDC) entry Serve as primary point of contact for sponsors, CROs, monitors, and regulatory bodies during site transitions Maintain regulatory binders in compliance with FDA and GCP standards Monitor study inventory and coordinate supply ordering Support monitoring visits, audits, and inspections Educate study participants on procedures, expectations, and risks Attend study trainings, site initiation visits, and investigator meetings Track and document site progress throughout startup, enrollment, and study execution Provide ongoing operational support to promote strong site performance and engagement Assist with onboarding and training new site staff in alignment with ECN policies and procedures Qualifications: Education: Bachelor’s degree in health sciences, life sciences, nursing, or related field required Seven or more years of clinical research coordinator experience may be considered in lieu of a degree CCRC or equivalent certification preferred Experience: Minimum of three to four years of experience as a Clinical Research Coordinator Skills: Strong understanding of clinical trial operations from startup through close out Extensive knowledge of GCP, GDP, and ALCOA+ principles Experience with EDC platforms such as Medidata Rave, Veeva, or Oracle and CTMS systems Ability to work independently in fast paced, travel intensive environments Strong problem solving, organizational, and attention to detail skills Excellent communication and relationship building skills with sponsors, CROs, monitors, site staff, and participants Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a multi site environment Working Conditions: Ability to travel up to 75 percent of the time including overnight stays and occasional weekends May involve direct patient interaction, phlebotomy, specimen processing, and investigational product handling May require evening or weekend work based on study needs Pay: Physical Requirements: Must reside within approximately 60 miles of a major international airport Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally Equal Opportunity Employer: Elite Clinical Network is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, national origin, disability, age, or veteran status. #J-18808-Ljbffr ECN Operating LLC
