Senior Legal Billing Specialist (Hybrid)
Cleveland, OH

A well‐established national law firm is seeking an experienced Senior Legal Billing Specialist to join its billing and finance team. This hybrid role offers three remote days per week and two in‐office days. The position manages full‐cycle billing for a designated group of attorneys and requires strong experience with complex billing, e‐billing platforms, and high‐volume workflows.

Responsibilities:
• Prepare monthly and ad‐hoc prebills and finalize invoices
• Process attorney edits, adjustments, write‐downs, and fee arrangements
• Ensure compliance with client Outside Counsel Guidelines
• Manage matter rates, discounts, and timekeeper approvals
• Submit and track e‐bills across multiple client billing platforms
• Resolve billing rejections, reductions, and discrepancies
• Communicate with attorneys regarding billing status and inquiries
• Maintain accurate billing records, notes, and client preferences
• Provide accruals, budgets, and reporting as needed
• Assist with training and workflow support for billing team members
• Participate in department projects and process improvements

Qualifications:
• 5+ years of legal billing experience in a law firm or professional services environment
• Experience with e‐billing platforms (eBillingHub, BillBlast, etc.)
• Familiarity with Aderant, Elite, or similar financial systems
• Strong accuracy, organization, and time‐management skills
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and high‐volume billing cycles
• Strong communication skills and commitment to client service
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Ability to work occasional extended hours during peak billing periods
