Quality Control Inspector

$126,380.80 yearly Full‑time Overview The Quality Manager role is responsible for the effective management of a 900+ employee facility while leading a cross‑functional team of 30 professionals. Reporting to the site General Manager, this role will oversee the Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure the system is established, maintained and continuously improved, ensuring compliance with company, customer, regulatory and other requirements while fostering a quality culture. Responsibilities Provides Quality leadership and guidance on all QMS matters as well as product compliance. Acts as the advocate for the Voice of the Customer (VOC), ensuring customer requirements are met throughout the product life cycle. Drives the elimination of escapes and the cost of poor quality. Establishes procedures for maintaining high standards of quality, reliability and safety. Organizes and promotes company‑wide improvement efforts. Implements and maintains the company quality system in accordance with current quality standards, reporting on performance for review and improvement. Supports development, implementation and continuous improvement across the organization. Leads and develops the site Quality Team; mentors staff, supports development plans and maintains a robust succession plan. Acts as liaison with external parties, including regulatory agencies. Business partner to operations, ensuring quality drives leadership in compliance and management and proactively drives continuous improvement for on‑time delivery. Manages daily activities of the functional Quality organization, ensuring adequate resources, cross‑training and daily interface with operations staff. Experience / Qualifications Excellent verbal and written communication skills across all levels of the organization. Experience working effectively with multiple stakeholders, including site teams and program teams. Demonstrated track record of successful QMS implementation and maintenance, including customer, regulator and third‑party audits. Strong project management skills to track and status QMS deployment, corrective actions, and continuous improvement plans. Experience with continuous improvement, lean or Six Sigma. Ability to implement and sustain a site‑level corrective action board process within overall site metrics. Drive continuous improvement in quality metrics: first‑pass yield, defect per unit, product escapes, cost of poor quality and corrective action closure. Education BA/BS degree in Engineering or related field with 6‑10 years of progressively responsible experience in Quality. MA/MS degree in Engineering or related field with 4‑7 years of progressively responsible experience in Quality. Skills and Certifications Management experience leading large groups. High level of communication skills. PPAP & NADCAP exposure. Aerospace or Automotive experience (Aerospace highly desired). Technical degree with some aerospace exposure is critical.
