American Traveler is hiring an experienced Emergency Department RN for a Level II Trauma Center night shift role requiring BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC certifications.

Work in a General Emergency Department serving combined adult and pediatric patients

Level II Trauma Center, STEMI Certified, and Stroke Certified facility

Night shift schedule, 4x12 hours (18:45-07:15), with option of 36 or 48 hours per week

2 weekend shifts required per contract

Epic charting system experience required

Floating to like units within scope may be required based on facility needs

Active KS or Compact RN license required at time of consideration

Minimum 2 years of ER experience required

Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC

Epic charting experience required

Community hospital experience preferred

Skilled in trauma, cardiac monitoring, EKG interpretation, IV therapy, and respiratory care

Experience with psychiatric, pediatric, and orthopedic emergency care preferred

Provide emergency care across a wide range of conditions including trauma, cardiac, respiratory, neurological, and psychiatric cases

Manage patients with multisystem organ dysfunction and perform triage and PPE/isolation precautions

Perform procedures such as splinting, EKGs, IV starts, and management of dysrhythmias

First-time travelers are accepted for this role

Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Former employees must have been separated from permanent staff positions for at least one year before returning as a traveler

No more than 3 days of RTO will be auto-approved, and no RTO is permitted during the first week of orientation
