Weekend RN Charge Nurse

Job Details Job Location: Center at Tucson - TUCSON, AZ 85712 Salary: $40.00 - $45.00 Hourly Shift: Day Shift Availability: Saturday, Sunday, Monday, 10-12 hour day shift with some flexibility on start/end times. Pay: Pay begins at $39/hour, dependent on experience. Job Description The primary purpose of the Charge Nurse is to provide direct nursing care to patients and supervise the day‑to‑day nursing activities of the nursing staff. Responsibilities Direct the day‑to‑day functions of the nursing staff in accordance with current rules, regulations, and guidelines. Assist with admissions (inputting orders, taking report, etc.). Address questions and concerns from patients and patient families. Assist with med pass and floor nursing as needed. Audits as assigned by nursing management. Qualifications Must possess a current and valid fingerprint clearance card (FPCC). Must possess a current and valid Registered Nurse license. Must possess a current and valid CPR certification. Must pass a pre‑employment background check and drug test. Must have at least one year experience as a licensed RN. Other Requirements Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language. Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action. Must possess the ability to tactfully work with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the general public. Must have patience, tact, a cheerful disposition and enthusiasm, as well as the willingness to handle difficult residents. Must be able to relate information concerning a resident’s condition. Must be knowledgeable of HIPAA compliance and requirements, and have the ability to maintain highly confidential information.
