Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments for elderly clients, identifying their unique psychological and emotional needs related to aging and transition.

• Facilitate individual and group counseling sessions focused on addressing emotional challenges, grief, loss, and coping mechanisms related to addiction and age-related issues.

• Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to devise and implement comprehensive care plans that promote mental wellbeing, social engagement, and emotional support for geriatric clients.

• Educate families and staff about mental health strategies that enhance emotional well-being and improve the quality of life for elderly individuals.

• Provide specialized grief and loss counseling for clients and their families dealing with end-of-life challenges and loss.

• Develop and implement cognitive stimulation programs and therapeutic activities designed to promote mental acuity and emotional health in elderly patients.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will primarily work with seniors facing various mental health issues, including but not limited to addiction, depression, anxiety, grief, and loss related to aging. You will be instrumental in providing support for clients navigating significant life changes, including retirement, illness, or the loss of loved ones, ensuring that they receive the necessary tools and guidance to improve their mental health.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) certification in Washington.

• Minimum of four years of recent experience in mental health counseling, particularly with geriatric populations.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary for this position ranges from USD 65,000 to 95,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition to a competitive base salary, we offer a sign-on bonus as an incentive for qualified candidates.
