Teacher - Grade 5

Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic educator to join our team at Lightfoot Elementary as a Grade 5 Teacher. In this full-time position, you will play a vital role in shaping the academic and social development of our students. Responsibilities
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with state standards and cater to diverse learning styles.
- Assess and evaluate student progress through various assessment methods, providing constructive feedback to students and parents.
- Foster a supportive classroom environment that encourages student participation, collaboration, and respect.
- Manage classroom behavior and implement effective discipline strategies to maintain a positive learning atmosphere.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress, challenges, and achievements.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to school-wide initiatives and professional development.
- Participate in school events, meetings, and committees as required.
- Stay current with educational trends and best practices, incorporating new strategies into your teaching.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field;
- Valid teaching certification or license for Grade 5 or willing to obtain.
- Experience teaching at the elementary level.
- Strong understanding of child development and effective instructional strategies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Proficient in using technology and educational software to enhance learning.
