Job Overview: PRATT Industries is seeking a Welder to join our skilled manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing welding tasks on metal parts and structures used in the production of our high-quality trailers. The Welder will work with a variety of materials and welding techniques to ensure strong, durable, and precise welds that meet PRATT’s strict quality standards. Key Responsibilities: Perform welding on various metal components used in trailer manufacturing, including structural frames, chassis, and other parts. Use MIG, TIG, and stick welding techniques to complete welds according to engineering drawings and blueprints. Set up and operate welding machines and equipment, ensuring proper adjustments for different materials and weld types. Inspect and test completed welds to ensure they meet PRATT’s quality and safety standards. Follow safety procedures and use personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times. Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring tools and equipment are properly stored and maintained. Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines and ensure high-quality output. Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to supervisors immediately. Ensure adherence to company quality control processes to produce defect-free work. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent; welding certification or technical training preferred. Proven experience as a welder, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting. Strong knowledge of welding techniques, including MIG, TIG, and stick welding. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and welding symbols. Familiarity with welding tools and equipment, including safety procedures. Strong attention to detail and the ability to produce high-quality, precise welds. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Ability to lift heavy materials and work in a physically demanding environment.
