This full-time role is based in Hunt Valley, Maryland, with consideration for candidates located in Montreal, Quebec or Mississauga, Ontario. If you're looking for a career where your expertise is valued, your development is supported, and your work directly contributes to helping businesses navigate risk with confidence, we'd love to hear from you.Reporting to the Senior Manager of Claims, you will be responsible for applying Claims examination principles and procedures to analyse the validity of claims submitted in respect of Credit Insured transactions, taking account of detailed policy specific criteria and advising/directing customers in respect of loss minimization activities. This position also contributes to the development of claims policies and procedures through interaction with an international claims community, is responsible for the monitoring and settlement of recoveries and recovery costs and liaises with legal resources when necessary. Successful completion of these responsibilities will require you to interact with other functional areas within Atradius.In this position your key responsibilities will be:Applying established claims examination principles and procedures to assess liability for credit-insured losses within defined authority levels.Ensuring compliance with internal policies, procedures, systems, and quality standards.Accurately assessing and calculating indemnity payments in accordance with policy terms and coverage provisions.Communicating effectively with customers, brokers, buyers, agents, and internal colleagues to support timely claim resolution.Responding promptly and professionally to inquiries and information requests from internal stakeholders.Demonstrating strong written and verbal communication skills when interacting with both internal and external stakeholders.Contributing as both an independent performer and a collaborative team member to achieve departmental and organizational goals.Managing multiple priorities simultaneously while maintaining accuracy, attention to detail, and service excellence.Performing general administrative and clerical duties that support the efficient operation of the Claims team.The ideal candidate holds a bachelor's degree in business or a related field. Previous insurance or claims handling experience is a plus. Proficiency in Microsoft Office software suite, effective written and oral communication skills and a detail oriented approach are required. Additionally, candidates for the Montreal or Mississauga offices must have a current AMF adjuster license.This role offers the flexibility of Atradius' hybrid work model and can be located in our Hunt Valley, Maryland headquarters or our Montreal, Quebec or Mississauga, Ontario offices.Candidates applying to the Montreal or Mississauga locations must be fully bilingual, with strong verbal and written communication skills in both French and English.What do we offer?Competitive Salary: $80,000 - $90,000 annually, dependent on experience level with a 10% bonus potential.Paid Time Off: 3 weeks vacation, 8 floating holidays, 6 sick days, maternity and parental leave, office closure holidays.Flexible Working: Hybrid model with 3 days remote and 2 days onsite.Insurance: Medical and dental plans with shared premiums, Vision, Disability and Life Insurance fully paid by company.Retirement Plan: 401k with 100% company match up to 6% of salary contributions and annual profit share, pre-tax and Roth options.Equal opportunities for allThe success of our organisation stands with the quality of our people and the ideas they have.
