Business Development Manager

SOUTH KANSAS CITY territory — Business Development Manager. Ideal candidate will make an impact and partner with clients across a variety of industries. Responsibilities Actively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience. Demonstrate excellent customer service skills, reacting appropriately in stressful situations and dealing with difficult customers diplomatically. Attract new and maintain existing customer relationships via phone, social media, face‑to‑face meetings, and email. Engage with decision makers, including executives, during the buying process. Target higher quality leads and leverage existing partnerships to expand the prospect funnel. Act as a market leader through connections with networking groups, trade associations, and social media groups. Engage in pre‑call planning using market research to gain insights into customer challenges, identify key stakeholders, and challenge customers to transform their business. Provide consultative account management, post‑sale support, frequent contact, and follow‑up. Lead strategic market‑related conversations with customers and present and upsell additional products depending on client needs. Ability to sell top down at all levels in a company regardless of the industry. Manage a sales funnel, identify, and develop key accounts and close business. Understand what makes a business successful and stay up to date on daily happenings in the business world. Seek to become knowledgeable about customers to provide better service, identify and prioritize needs, recognize constraints, and deliver on promises. Identify key components of problems and situations, generate a range of creative solutions, evaluate them, and choose the most appropriate option. Pick up and assimilate relevant information quickly and easily while learning new tasks; think on your feet in rapidly changing environments. Build better relationships with leadership, customers, and colleagues by being trustworthy and working ethically. Achieve results in a quality, timely, and cost‑effective way; see priorities, plan efficient use of resources, and monitor progress against objectives. Respond positively to change and adapt to new situations quickly; take on a diverse range of tasks equally effectively. Experience using various technology platforms to drive effective decisions.
