Assistant/Associate Professor of Nursing

Nursing Faculty PositionBarry University's School of Nursing seeks a dynamic and innovative full-time (12-month) faculty member to join our interdisciplinary team of healthcare experts. This position will be dedicated to our undergraduate nursing programs (BSN).The program aims to prepare the next generation of nurses with a focus on social determinants of health and health promotion as it applies to clinical practice, education, research, and health policy.Essential FunctionsTeach undergraduate-level courses in the discipline and program coreParticipate in academic advisingProvide student mentorship and advising.Engage in program, college, and university servicesEngage in scholarshipQualifications/RequirementsAn earned MSN degree is required; a doctorate in nursing or a related field is preferred from a regionally accredited institution.Active Florida Registered Nurse (RN) LicenseAcute Care/ ICU Experience RequiredEvidence of distinguished teaching, scholarship, service, and student mentorship; preference given to those candidates eligible for appointment at the rank of assistant/ associate professorStrong clinical background and teaching experience preferred, particularly in Medical-Surgical Nursing, Psychiatric Nursing, Pharmacology, Pathophysiology, and/or Health Assessment.Demonstrated commitment to promoting knowledge & truth, inclusive community, collaborative service, and social justice.Barry University offers a comprehensive benefits package to full-time employees that includes health, dental, vision, life insurance, retirement, tuition assistance, paid time off and work/life balance initiatives such as wellness programs, spirituality in the workplace, and training and development.Barry University is an Equal Opportunity Employer, committed to a diverse and inclusive work environment.
