Food and Beverage Manager

Legends Global has an excellent and immediate opening for a Manager of Food and Beverage at the Cabarrus Arena & Events Center. This position is responsible for daily management of the Food and Beverage Department to include concessions, mobile carts, general event catering, culinary, catering sales, menu development, financials, and budgets. The Manager of Food & Beverage directs and coordinates the entire food and beverage operation by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors:**Major Responsibilities**include the following. Other duties may be assigned.Marketing food and beverage services to clients and establishing food and beverage controlsCreating food and beverage sales projections and budgets for facility eventsDaily concession/catering food and beverage compliance and service concerns such as sanitation/health department regulations, alcoholic beverage service guidelines and standards, menu development, and detailed costing for menu items and eventsOverall direction and coordination of the Food and Beverage Department. Carrying out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Legends Global's policies and applicable laws including interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees in conjunction with Human Resources; addressing complaints and resolving problems**Qualifications**Minimum of 3 years' experience in a management-level position in Food and Beverage or equivalent combination of education and experiencePrevious experience in overall Food & Beverage operations, sales, inventory control, cost control, and food preparation procedures experience in foodExcellent knowledge of current culinary and concession trends, presentation, and food qualityPrevious experience in standardizing recipes, plating, and menu costingStrong orientation to customer service and ability to work with clients, guests, and staff membersResults oriented with the ability to meet required budgetary goalsExcellent organizational, multi-tasking, planning, written, and verbal communication skillsPrior supervisory experience requiredPrevious experience working with and overseeing subcontractors and vendorsComputer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office programsAbility to be creative with buffet presentations and maintain a quality productWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to move around the facility; to stand for long hours during events; talk and hear.
