Your role at a glance The Facilities Technician is primarily responsible for daily operational assistance to maintain the overall facility cleanliness, including front office and client area. Also, performs physical labor in performing drywall patching, painting, stocking and organizing materials. This is a Monday through Friday position; however, needs to be flexible to provide coverage at night or weekends to assist if an emergency condition exists or to assist with client requirements. Regular attendance is essential for satisfactory performance as this is an onsite position. What we are looking for Key Roles and Responsibilities: Ensure that all maintenance and repairs requests received within the NTT office environment and related buildings are carried out inline with the service level agreement Coordinates the distribution of and response to all service requests related to the facilities Participates in daily building inspections and ensures that all work undertaken conforms to the Health and Safety Act Conduct daily walkabouts, checking the cleanliness of all areas, especially bathrooms, break rooms and kitchens Document and report on in progress, new and/or completed maintenance, and repair requests to management Co-ordinate routine maintenance and repairs schedule Assist with ensuring that the tasks are completed according to the schedule and update and maintain the maintenance database Ensure that buildings, offices and equipment are maintained to the required standards and that service levels are met Provide support to ensure that all office facilities, tools, equipment, and stock (office consumable) levels are maintained and securely stored Liaise with all internal and external stakeholders including building services management, security, and access control and cleaning staff Escalate non-performance of internal and external stakeholders to the management Approve all contractor documentation and maintain records such as permits, leases and correspondence on behalf of NTT Knowledge, Skills and Attributes: Highly motivated and ability to work independently Basic knowledge of general hygiene practices Good knowledge of facility layout Solid verbal and written communication skills Physical ability to clean Good organisational skills Ability to work unsupervised and deliver quality work Detail orientated Ability to read and follow instructions Knowledgeable of safety practices Excellent time management and project management skills Proactive and pays attention to detail Demonstrate a positive attitude towards work and can manage assigned job processes Ability to work well under pressure Able to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times Ability to coordinate the work of others Ability to communicate with stakeholders at all levels Academic Qualifications and Certifications: Relevant secondary education Required Experience: Some experience in a similar position and / or environment Compensation Pay Range This position requires work to be done onsite at a data center facility and may require use of a personal mobile device. A monthly stipend will be provided to cover expenses incurred for using a personal device, if applicable. NTT Global Data Centers Americas, Inc. offers competitive compensation based on experience, education, and location. Hourly base salary for this position is $24.23 - $34.62 and is eligible for overtime pay in accordance to local state and federal ‘Wage and Hour’ requirements. All regular full-time employees are eligible for an annual bonus; payout is dependent upon individual and company performance.
