Pathology - Pediatric Physician

Overview The UC Davis Health School of Medicine, Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine, and UC Davis Children’s Hospital are seeking an academic research‑intensive Pediatric Pathologist at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level in the Clinical (X) or Health Sciences Clinical Professor (HSCP) series. Responsibilities Perform clinical pediatric pathology duties, including pediatric autopsies. Teach clinical, didactic, and small group sessions for housestaff and medical students; facilitate interdisciplinary conferences and contribute to curriculum development in subspecialty areas. Lead or collaborate on clinically oriented research projects aligned with the candidate’s expertise; develop a research vision and strategy for UC Davis Health. Engage in collaborative opportunities within UC Davis Health System, working with specialist pathologists, clinicians, and scientists across affiliated institutions. Qualifications Recognized expertise in pediatric pathology with a strong research background. Demonstrated teaching experience in a medical education setting. Ability to secure and manage research funding and lead research initiatives. Commitment to interdisciplinary collaboration and clinical service excellence.
