Our organization is in search of a Director of Structural Heart to become a part of the Cardiovascular Institute at a hospital located in Danbury, Connecticut. The ideal candidate should hold board certifications in both Cardiology and Interventional Cardiology, along with specialized training in structural heart procedures, and possess at least five years of experience following their fellowship. This role encompasses responsibilities in clinical practice, leadership, operational management, and academic endeavors.

The hospital serves as a tertiary care center, delivering comprehensive, patient-focused cardiovascular services. Our advanced facilities support a wide range of services, from preventive measures and early detection to complex interventions, surgical procedures, and rehabilitation. We are equipped with cutting-edge diagnostic tools, including advanced echocardiography, CT, and MRI technologies. Our team performs intricate coronary interventions and advanced structural heart procedures, such as TAVR, MitraClip, and an evolving tricuspid program. Additionally, our electrophysiology specialists handle complex arrhythmias through ablation therapies, device placements, and left atrial appendage occlusion. Our cardiothoracic surgery program offers a full spectrum of care, including intricate mitral valve and aortic surgeries. All services are provided by highly skilled, multidisciplinary teams dedicated to achieving excellent clinical outcomes and personalized treatment plans for each patient throughout Western Connecticut and beyond.

• Develop clinical protocols, guidelines, and best practices for structural heart interventions while fostering innovation and the integration of new technologies and procedures.

• Facilitate multidisciplinary heart team meetings and case selection discussions.

• Oversee quality metrics and clinical outcomes, including the management of data collection and submission to national registries.

• Attract and retain specialized members for the structural heart team, while providing leadership and training opportunities for support staff.

• Create strategic initiatives for program expansion, enhance referral networks, and collaborate with marketing for outreach and promotion.

• Work in partnership with members of the Cardiovascular Institute and other departments, as well as hospital administration.

• Support and advance all facets of the academic mission, including education, training, innovation, and research.

The Cardiovascular Institute unites providers from across the system to collaboratively deliver exceptional care, educate and train future professionals, conduct research, engage with the community, and elevate the quality of care provided. The Institute's Centers of Excellence (including Arrhythmia, Atherosclerosis, Heart/Lung Failure, Prevention/Wellness, Pediatric/Adult Congenital, Valvular, Vascular, and Women's Heart Health) focus on the cardiovascular patient and care team to ensure comprehensive, expert care throughout the network.
