Senior Partnership Accountant

About the Role Senior Partner Accountant to join our Partnership Accounting team. The role supports the firm’s global partnership accounting and partner finance activities, including partner account reconciliations, profit allocations, capital management and partner payments. The position involves regular interaction with Partners and close collaboration with colleagues in the UK and US. Key Responsibilities Calculate and process partner payments and prepare individual partner statements. Calculate, monitor and maintain partner capital, including annual capital calls, arranging loan finance drawdown and capital repayments. Assist with budgets and cash flows for partner remuneration and firm cash flow. Prepare partner journals and reconcile individual partner accounts to cash and accrual balances within Elite 3E. Conduct induction and outgoing meetings with partners to review their financials. Work closely with the Partner Accounting Senior Manager to ensure consistent processes between US and non-US partners, and assist with identification and implementation of process improvements. Provide assistance to the Global Partnership Tax and Payroll Director and Partner Accounting Senior Manager. Assist with audit and accounting queries related to partners. Cover tasks for other team members when they are out of the office and assist during busy periods. Qualifications Minimum of seven years relevant experience in a professional services or accountancy practice, ideally a partnership accounting role within a law firm. Demonstrable experience of all or most of the key tasks outlined above. Part or fully qualified accountant desirable (not essential). Essential Skills Advanced spreadsheet knowledge and Microsoft Excel skills. High level of attention to detail and accuracy. Willingness to challenge the status quo. Initiative and adaptability to new processes and change. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to multitask and critically review information. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Time management and forward‑planning skills, prioritizing tasks in a fast‑paced environment with changing priorities.
