Overview Registered Nurse, LTAC (Long-Term Acute Care) – Rochester, NY Start date: 09/28/2026 Duration: 17 weeks Shift: 12-hour shifts Weekly pay: $1,993.00 to $2,186.00 per week Employment type: Travel - Temporary Assignment Setting: Hospital-based long-term care with geriatric residents; wound care experience welcome, no tracheostomies required This is a travel RN role with a focus on direct patient care, assessment, and coordinating care in a geriatric long-term care environment. Key Highlights Weekly pay range: $1,993.00 – $2,186.00 per week Contract duration: 17 weeks Shift: 12-hour shifts; days/evenings/nights, with weekends, on-call, and holidays per unit need Location: Rochester, NY Specialty: LTAC; geriatric long-term care with wound care Responsibilities Provide direct nursing care to geriatric residents in a long-term care setting Conduct comprehensive assessments, document findings, and implement the nursing plan of care Administer medications and monitor responses; manage wound care per facility standards Oversee and delegate tasks to LPNs and CNAs; coordinate care with the interdisciplinary team Monitor residents for changes in condition; respond quickly to clinical needs and document accurately Communicate clearly with families, team members, and other health professionals; maintain thorough and timely documentation Requirements NY State Registered Nurse license (active, in good standing) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association Minimum 2 years of experience in long-term care; LTAC experience preferred Experience with wound care in a geriatric population Ability to work in a long-term care environment with 12-hour shifts; willingness to cover days/evenings/nights, weekends, on-call and holidays per unit need Telemetry experience is not required but may be beneficial Benefits and Support Credentialing and onboarding assistance to meet NY requirements Assignment-specific support from Healthforce Healthcare LLC throughout the contract Ongoing access to credentialing, documentation, and scheduling support Consistent payroll processing for a travel RN assignment Please note: Pay rates and guaranteed hours are estimates and may vary.
