Registered Nurse Emergency Room

Job Summary:
Provides comprehensive emergency nursing care to adult patients in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment. Manages a wide range of critical conditions using advanced clinical skills and technology.

Responsibilities:

• Administer IV therapies, including blood products, vasopressors, and central line care.
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms; manage dysrhythmias effectively.
• Operate and troubleshoot ventilators, CPAP/BiPAP, and other specialized ICU equipment.
• Provide emergency care for trauma, stroke, neuro injuries, and pediatric emergencies.
• Perform triage, isolation precautions, and facilitate rapid patient stabilization.
• Document care accurately in EPIC and ensure compliance with clinical protocols.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active New York Single State RN license.
• Demonstrate at least one year of ER nursing experience in adult care.
• Possess current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications, with NIHSS valid at submission.
• Exhibit proficiency in IV therapy, cardiac monitoring, and emergency procedures.
• Ability to float within scope, adapting to various hospital units as needed.
• Successfully submit RTO requests and operate within scheduled shifts.
