• $100,000 to $120,000 Base Salary

Umbilical Search is proud to be partnering with a growing engineering and capital equipment business supplying specialist equipment and technical solutions to customers across North America.

The business is continuing to grow its sales operation and is now seeking an experienced Sales Manager to develop business across an established US territory.

This is a genuine sales position for a commercially driven, self-starting salesperson who enjoys developing new business, building relationships and managing the full sales process.

You will be responsible for developing opportunities across industrial and manufacturing markets , selling engineered capital equipment and technical solutions.

The role will involve approximately 70% customer-facing activity, with the remainder focused on home-based administration, pipeline management and planning.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop new business and identify opportunities across the territory
• Manage the full sales cycle from initial prospecting through to close and handover
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and key stakeholders
• Conduct customer visits, presentations and demonstrations
• Develop quotations and commercial proposals
• Understand customer applications, production requirements and project timescales
• Manage and develop an active sales pipeline
• Work closely with internal technical and commercial teams to deliver customer solutions
• Attend relevant trade shows and industry events
• Achieve agreed sales targets and maintain accurate CRM records

Requirements:

• Proven sales experience within engineered capital equipment, mechanical systems or technical solutions
• Experience selling into industrial, manufacturing or process-driven markets
• Strong new business development and prospecting skills
• Commercially driven with a strong hunter mentality
• Confident managing the complete sales process
• Able to understand technical applications and communicate effectively with engineering and operational stakeholders
• Willingness to travel extensively throughout the territory
• Valid driving licence
• A bachelor's degree is preferred but not essential.
