Schedule: Contingent/PRN Days - Varying days between 7:00 AM and 3:30 PM
General Summary:
As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you'll play a vital role in our diagnostic imaging team, working collaboratively with Radiologists to deliver precise isotope-based procedures that drive accurate patient diagnoses. You'll leverage your expertise in nuclear medicine imaging to evaluate complex pathological conditions, applying independent clinical judgment to optimize imaging techniques, patient positioning, and safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute specialized nuclear medicine procedures using various radioisotopes, following physician prescriptions and department protocols to ensure diagnostic accuracy and patient safety
- Apply clinical expertise to determine optimal imaging techniques and patient positioning strategies that enhance diagnostic quality and procedural efficiency
- Demonstrate independent professional judgment in implementing safety practices and quality assurance measures throughout all procedures
- Collaborate with Radiologists and clinical teams to support accurate pathological evaluation and contribute to positive patient outcomes
- Maintain adherence to all departmental protocols, regulatory standards, and safety guidelines in a fast-paced healthcare environment
Qualifications
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent is required.
- Must be registered (or registry eligible) in Nuclear Medicine by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) and/or The Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB).
- If registry eligible, registry must be obtained within 12 months of date of hire.
- Failure to obtain registry within designated timeframe will result in termination of the Nuclear Medicine Technologist position.
- Must maintain required hours of continued medical education.
- Healthcare Provider certification required (BCLS).
