Corewell Health William Beaumont University Hospital opened on Jan. 24, 1955, as a 238-bed community hospital. Today, the hospital is a 1,101-bed major academic and referral center with Level I adult trauma ( and Level II pediatric trauma ( designations. Corewell Health William Beaumont University Hospital has 43 residency and fellowship programs with 454 residents and fellows. Corewell is the exclusive clinical partner of the Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine, with more than 1,400 Corewell Health doctors on faculty.

Scope of work  

The NMT performs both imaging and non-imaging procedures on patients and/or patient samples using radioactive tracers. The NMT is responsible for the safe and correct handling of radioactive materials, the care and operation of radiation detection equipment, knowledge of Nuclear Medicine procedures, the appropriate computer analysis to generate a patient result, and patient care. A NMT uses specific age and culture-related physical, intellectual psychosocial and developmental attributes in assessment planning, implementation and evaluation of patient care. Qualifications

• Required associate’s degree Graduate of Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) Accredited Radiography program

• CRT-Nuclear Medicine Technologist - NMTCB Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board. Required 6 months from date of hire

• CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association Upon Hire required
