Accounts Payable Clerk

Job Description Our client is seeking an AP Clerk to join their team in Houston, TX . The ideal candidate has strong high-volume invoice processing experience, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities:
- Process approximately 1,000 invoices per month across multiple portfolio companies
- Review invoices for accuracy, proper coding, and required approvals
- Enter and maintain invoice data within Enertia ERP
- Manage the AP process from invoice receipt through processing and payment
- Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and other AP-related issues
- Maintain accurate and organized AP records and documentation
- Support AP activities for approximately 2-3 portfolio companies, with additional companies expected as the portfolio grows
- Collaborate with the Controller, Operations Accounting Director, and Senior Analyst on accounting and AP-related needs
- Identify opportunities to improve AP processes and efficiency
- Take on additional accounting responsibilities as skills and business needs develop
- High-volume AP processing required
- Experience processing invoices in a deadline-driven environment
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Proficiency with Enertia ERP is highly preferred
- Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Upstream oil & gas experience preferred
