This is an overnight awake shift, 3 days a week, 10pm until 8am for 30 hours per week.

About the Role:

As a Direct Support Staff , you will provide essential care, companionship, and support to residents with developmental disabilities in a group home setting. You’ll accompany residents throughout their day—from daily routines and medical appointments to recreational and community-based activities—ensuring their health, safety, and dignity. This role is more than just caregiving; it's about building meaningful relationships , promoting independence, and creating a positive impact in someone’s life every single day.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting
• Administer prescribed medications and track health conditions under the supervision of a licensed nurse
• Prepare meals based on dietary plans and restrictions from the assigned dietitian
• Provide safe transportation to day programs, work programs, family visits, and community events
• Facilitate recreational, therapeutic, and social activities to enrich clients' lives
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe living environment for residents
• Accurately document services, incidents, medications, and daily care logs
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, coworkers, and clinical teams

Requirements

Qualifications:

Commit to working Friday, Saturday and Sunday 10pm until 8 am consistently.

• At least 1 year of experience in caregiving, direct support, behavioral health, or related field preferred
• Ability to lift 50 lbs, stand for long periods, and assist with physical care
• Ability to read and write in English
• Strong communication, patience, and time-management skills
• Must be able to pass a criminal background check
• Reliable transportation and punctuality are a must
