Pastry Cook

Job Overview :

Shooters Waterfront is looking to take on creative and experience Pastry Cook to join our award-winning waterfront operation. 

We are hiring a Pastry Cook to join our team! 

Reports to: Pastry Chef.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: (other duties may be assigned)

• The ideal candidate will be well-versed in pastry arts with a passion for sweet and delicious creations.
• Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies.
• Prepare baked goods for service, baked in cooperation with buffet, a la carte, and banquet.
• Clean up station and take care of leftover dessert.
• Assist in stocking inventory appropriately.
• Ensure the baked goods come out in high quality and timely fashion.
• Comply with sanitation regulations and safety standards.

Required Qualifications/Skills: 

• To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and a minimum of one year of related experience and/or training.
• Proven baking and production experience, including experience as prep. A la cart dessert.
• Excellent understanding of various baking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
• Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks.
• Familiar with industry's best practices.
• Must have cake decorating skills, clean & sharp cut for cakes.
• Must be able to work independently.
• Must be able to follow exact recipes and procedures.
• Must be available to work weekends and all holidays.
• Must have excellent organization and communication skills.
• Ensure all pastries are consistent and up to our standards.
• Must possess reliable transportation.
• Reliable, consistent work attendance is a requirement and essential function of this position.

Wage is dependent upon skills and experience.
