Senior Director Engineering - AML14 Drug Product

Senior Director of Engineering role leading a 150-person integrated engineering organization supporting drug product manufacturing operations in Puerto Rico. Responsible for formulation, filling, and inspection engineering strategy, reliability excellence, asset lifecycle management, and organizational transformation to ensure safe, compliant, and reliable manufacturing.
Responsibilities
- Lead integrated engineering organization across maintenance, equipment, utilities, automation, and inspection functions
- Develop and execute engineering strategy to improve equipment availability, OEE, and manufacturing capacity
- Establish reliability excellence programs including root-cause analysis and predictive performance monitoring
- Own lifecycle management, obsolescence planning, and capital investment decisions for critical assets
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, cGMP standards, and technical readiness for product launches
Requirements
- Proven leadership experience managing large, complex engineering organizations
- Deep technical expertise in pharmaceutical manufacturing, equipment engineering, or process reliability
- Strategic capability to develop engineering roadmaps, asset plans, and technology investments
- Experience implementing reliability systems, predictive maintenance, and performance metrics
- Track record delivering manufacturing performance improvements and operational excellence
- Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Knowledge of cGMP compliance, quality systems, and manufacturing risk management
