Staff Accountant
LifeSpice Ingredients, a rapidly growing international food company with an entrepreneurial spirit, is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Staff Accountant to join our team at our Homer Glen location.

This position reports directly to the Controller.
As Staff Accountant, you will:
- Manage accounts payable including matching and keying payables, check printing, and recording of ACH payments
- Assist accounts receivable by processing credit memos and cross training for billing and deposits
- Assist Controller with month end close
- Assist Controller with cash management by monitoring bank account and recording daily transactions.
- Collaborate closely with other departments to find and obtain accounting documents (Invoices, approvals, etc.)
- Be the Accounting voice within committee meetings
- Identify opportunities to enhance accounting procedures and continuously improve standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Ad hoc reporting, journal entries and special projects as assigned
To be successful in this position you need:
- 1–2 years' experience in AP, AR or equivalent is preferred, but recent Accounting Grads are encouraged to apply
- A high level of accuracy, attention to detail, and strong organizational skills are required
- Ability to multitask, meet deadlines and work with a Team
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office with a strong working knowledge of Excel
- Experience in Business Central or equivalent ERP Software a plus
