Accounting Manager

Our client in the Pharma industry is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to join the team utilizing hands-on accounting experience and an in-depth understanding of accounting principles and company practices. All responsibilities associated with financial accounting and Controllership functions. The Accounting Manager will be part of the senior Finance team and will supervise the General Accounting team. Ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles, corporate policies, and external audits. Manage monthly book-close and preparation of reports in support of the financial statements.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee monthly and quarterly close and internal reporting
• Oversee AP and AR, and support treasury/cash management and payroll
• Support the annual audits for U.S. and foreign subsidiaries and internal audit
• Internal reporting, includes schedules and forecasts
• Support tax compliance
• Accounting research for GAAP and IFRS (e.g., Client 842 and 606)
• Perform other duties and projects as assigned

• Ability to work well in both a team environment and independently
• Ability to work cross-culturally with diverse customer and employee bases
• Excellent analytical skills with ability to work with large data sets
• Solid technical experience

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance
• 3 + years of related experience
• Familiarity with reporting requirements and regulations necessary to prepare audited financial statements.
• Cash management and payroll
• Multi-currency and consolidation
• Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills.
• Proven record of accomplishment in financial accounting manager functions for at least 2-3 years. Previous experience in pharma industry (especially generic pharma) required
• CPA will be a major plus
