Job Title Assistant Coach - MLAX Department Athletics | Lacrosse Men Job Description Instructs and teaches athletes fundamentals of men’s lacrosse, coaches technique and strategy. Assists in selection of team members and recruiting activities in compliance with conference, NCAA, and OSU rules and regulations. Assists the head coach in the coordination of administrative areas of program management including scheduling of competitions and practices, travel plans, and equipment. Monitors academic progress of student athletes; audits information from academic support services to ensure compliance with conference, NCAA, and University rules and regulations. Works in a creative and collaborative team environment. Relies on ability to travel extensively during recruiting process. Minimum Education Bachelor’s Level Degree Desired Education Master’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience Qualifications Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s desired. Prior coaching experience and extensive knowledge of the sport of men’s lacrosse at the intercollegiate level. Ability to work with a diverse population. Knowledge and experience working with NCAA rules and regulations. Location Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium (0092) Position Type Term (Fixed Term) Schedule 40 hours per week; varying shifts.
