Registered Nurse Labor and Delivery

Job Summary:

The Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum (LDRP) Nurse provides comprehensive care to women throughout labor, delivery, postpartum, and neonatal periods. They collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure a safe, family-centered environment for patients and newborns.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Assess and monitor patient progress during labor and delivery, responding to any complications.
  
  
• 
  Administer medications and interventions as prescribed, documenting care details accurately.
  
  
• 
  Support families through education and emotional assistance during labor and postpartum phases.
  
  
• 
  Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  
  
• 
  Ensure compliance with all safety standards, including GYN surgical and pediatric care protocols.
  
  
• 
  Manage neonatal care and assist with postpartum recovery, including initial newborn assessments.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Valid, unencumbered Oregon RN license required.
  
  
• 
  Current Healthcare Provider Level BLS certification.
  
  
• 
  AHA ACLS and NRP certification required for AGH LDRP.
  
  
• 
  Preferably holds STABLE certification.
  
  
• 
  Demonstrates strong assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills.
  
  
• 
  Prior labor and delivery experience is highly preferred.
