Full Time, Year Round Positions in Cannon Kids/Bomber Care Lead Staff JobID: 701 Position Type: Student Support Services/ Early Childhood Date Posted: 5/29/2026 Location: Cannon Falls Community Education Cannon Falls School District #252 is seeking multiple Community Ed Cannon Kids/Bomber Care Lead Staff to support the growth and learning of children ages 33 months to 5th grade in the Cannon Falls community. Hours will be Monday-Friday with the following positions currently available: 7:45 am – 4:15 pm (shift = Bomber care & Cannon Kids after School) Potential other positions available depending on registrations & need The Community Education Early Childhood Bomber Care program serves children in the Cannon Falls area between the ages of 33 months to five years from 6:00 am - 6:00 pm. Bomber Care emphasizes the development of a child's social, emotional, physical, and intellectual skills within a structured setting. This is a supporting program to our Preschool Readiness Program, and is a 4-star Parent Aware certified program helping prepare children for kindergarten. Cannon Kids is a quality school‑age childcare program administered by the Community Education Department designed to meet the needs of children of working parents. Cannon Kids emphasizes the development of a child's social, emotional, physical, and intellectual skills within a recreational setting. The Cannon Kids School Aged Child Care before school is set from 6:00 am to 7:45 am and after school from 2:45 to 6:00 pm. Cannon Kids Summer Care is 6:00 am - 6:00 pm Monday-Friday during the summer months. These positions will be Leads during Before School, Bomber Care, After School, and Summer Care. Position Purpose To assist, support, and work closely with Cannon Kids/Bomber Care Coordinator, Community Education Director, Preschool Readiness Coordinator, and other team members in providing quality programs to improve student achievement. Essential Job Functions Develop and implement age‑appropriate activities for children in their care, adapting plans to individual child needs. Activities include arts & crafts, science discovery, music, games, physical activity, drama, reading, and sensory play in a large group or small group setting. Demonstrate strong classroom management and create a positive, organized, and productive learning environment. Effectively observe assigned work hours and maintain a pattern of prompt and regular attendance. Follow the daily schedule as prescribed. Lead transition from the end of the school day to Cannon Kids After School Care for grades K-5th. Adjust to work assignments and/or schedule changes. Supervise students in classrooms, hallways, cafeterias, school yards, gymnasiums, or on field trips. Communicate clearly and positively with students and all stakeholders. Perform assigned non‑instructional classroom duties, such as snack time, toileting, class change, and clothing routines. Perform other duties as assigned by the Coordinator, Director, or designee. Demonstrate ethical behavior and confidentiality of information about students in the school environment and community. Maintain a cooperative working relationship with the Coordinator, Director, Students, Parents, Staff, and Public. Participate in professional learning activities that align with school improvement goals and staff development opportunities provided by the district. Demonstrate a positive attitude toward work assignments. Accept responsibility for the work assigned and accept constructive criticism. Qualifications Profile Background study clearance. Prior experience working with children is preferred. Two years of college or the ability to pass the paraprofessional test within one year of hire.
