Role Overview Claims Specialist/Billing Specialist
- Contact healthcare providers to obtain missing documentation.
- Review and route bills through the system to the Claims Examiner for payment.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure all documentation is properly processed.
- Handle sensitive and confidential information professionally.
- Communicate effectively with victims and providers via phone and email.
Qualifications
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Comfortable communicating with victims and healthcare providers.
- Ability to follow established procedures and workflows.
- Comfortable working with data-entry systems and confidential information.
- Medical bill-paying knowledge is a plus , including:
- CMS-1500 and UB-04 forms
- Explanations of Benefits (EOBs)
- Medical records and related documentation
- Professional, organized, and dependable approach to work.
