Are you an experienced Leave of Absence Specialist with a strong understanding of leave regulations and the ability to manage complex employee leave cases? Our client, a leading healthcare organization in Bellevue, is seeking a Leave of Absence Specialist to provide hands-on support in a high-volume HR environment. This role is ideal for someone who can work independently, navigate complex leave situations, and ensure accurate and timely leave administration.

What You'll Be Doing

• Manage full-cycle leave administration, including FMLA, Washington PFML, disability, workers' compensation, and return-to-work processes
• Serve as a primary point of contact for employees regarding leave requests, questions, documentation, and follow-up
• Review leave documentation, determine eligibility, and ensure accurate tracking in accordance with applicable leave regulations
• Coordinate with third-party leave administrators while maintaining internal oversight of employee leave cases
• Support employee accommodation requests and return-to-work plans, appropriately distinguishing between leave and accommodation requirements
• Monitor shared inboxes, respond to inquiries, and follow leave cases through resolution
• Maintain accurate leave records, tracking spreadsheets, and reports while managing multiple cases and deadlines

What We're Looking For

• 4+ years of hands-on leave of absence administration experience
• Proven experience independently managing full-cycle leaves in a high-volume environment
• Strong knowledge of federal and Washington state leave regulations, including FMLA and PFML
• Experience managing disability, workers' compensation, accommodations, and return-to-work processes
• Strong organizational skills, critical thinking, and attention to detail with the ability to manage complex leave cases independently
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Outlook, including leave tracking and reporting; Workday or UKG experience is a plus
• Strong communication skills with the ability to handle sensitive employee matters while maintaining confidentiality

Location: Bellevue, WA | 100% Onsite

Schedule: Monday–Friday

Pay Rate: $38–$44/hour DOE

Assignment: Temporary | Approximately 6 months
