Drive compliance and operational efficiencies across diverse portfolios.Job DescriptionOverviewLead financial reporting and accounting operations for a diverse real estate investment portfolio.Collaborate with internal teams and external service providers to ensure compliance and accuracy.Drive process improvements and operational efficiencies within accounting workflows.Support audits, lender reporting, and investor requirements with detailed financial insights.Oversee onboarding of new properties and transitions between service providers.Ensure adherence to U.S. GAAP and internal controls across all financial activities.Participate in special projects and system implementations to enhance accounting processes.Key Responsibilities & DutiesManage relationships with outsourced accounting service providers, ensuring quality and timeliness.Review financial statements, reconciliations, and journal entries prepared by external teams.Coordinate monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes for assigned investments.Monitor property-level operating results, capital expenditures, and investment performance.Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.Support audit requests and reporting requirements for lenders and investors.Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and enhance communication.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve organizational goals.Job RequirementsBachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred.6–10 years of experience in real estate investment or property accounting.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with real estate accounting platforms.Strong analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail.Experience managing outsourced accounting providers and driving process improvements.Ability to work independently and coordinate cross-functional teams effectively.Excellent communication and relationship management abilities.Comfortable managing multiple priorities and external partnerships.
