Certifications Required: ARDMS/CCI registered or registry eligible, New Mexico Echo Sonographer License, BLS certification (American Heart Association)

Experience: 2+ years preferred in performing echocardiograms

What You'll Do

• Perform diagnostic 2D, M-mode, and Doppler echocardiograms on adult and pediatric patients
• Coordinate with hospital departments for scheduling, patient transport, and billing
• Assist cardiologists during exams by preparing and measuring M-modes and exchanging pertinent diagnostic information
• Respond to patient needs during procedures and communicate changes to medical staff
• Manage supplies, maintain equipment quality, and ensure a clean, organized work environment
• Log patient data and maintain accurate records in the department system
• Participate in departmental performance improvement initiatives and emergency on-call coverage as needed
• Keep current with advancements in echocardiography and seek mentorship opportunities

What You Need

Required:

• ARDMS/CCI registered or registry eligible or comparable accreditation
• New Mexico Echo Sonographer License
• BLS certification (American Heart Association)
• High school diploma or equivalent plus a 2-year allied health education program
• Ability to effectively communicate, organize, and work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

Preferred:

• Two or more years of active echocardiogram experience
