PRIMARY OBJECTIVE OF POSITION
Assist Director of Finance & Assistant Director of Finance with the accounting functionality of the hotel.RESPONSIBILITIES AND JOB DUTIES
Oversee the Income Audit and Accounts Payable functions. Prepare Daily and Weekly Revenue Report. Assist with Month‑End Close Process, including preparation and review of journal entries. Reconcile daily payment transactions. Assist with preparation of monthly financial statements and operating reports. Assist with timely completion of balance sheet and bank reconciliations as required by Langham Hotels standard operating procedures. Assist Accounting colleagues as needed. Complete a daily and monthly tax reconciliation. Answer calls from guests and research the issue/inquiry. Additional duties not mentioned above may also be requested by supervisor.SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED
Knowledge of accounting operations relative to the hotel, general accounting, accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, income audit, etc. Basic mathematics skills; ability to operate 10‑key by touch; computer knowledge. Ability to effectively deal with guest and colleague concerns in a friendly and positive manner. Digital dexterity: strong knowledge of computers (Windows and Microsoft Office) and Shiji management. Ability to make general decisions in the absence of specific directions, e.g. prioritizing workload. Must be able to work under strict time constraints & meet deadlines. Ability to speak, read & write in English. EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE / LICENSES OR CERTIFICATES / REQUIRED Two to three years of Accounting/Finance experience, preferably in hospitality industry. Digital dexterity: strong knowledge of computers (Windows and Microsoft Office) and Shiji management. Bachelor’s degree preferred.SALARY RANGE
