About the Position

Job Title: Critical Care Float Pool Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: ICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years of ICU experience License: Valid state license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - Proficiency with EPIC - IV start experience - Telemetry experience - Ventilator management experience - Previous travel nursing experience strongly preferred Description: Join our Critical Care Float Pool for night shifts with flexibility to meet unit needs as they arise. Nurses will float to a variety of ICUs based on staffing and patient acuity. This includes Neuro ICU, Surgical ICUs, Medical ICUs, and Cardiology/Diagnostics. Float policy requires nurses to float within units of equivalent or lower acuity. Daily census is over 900 patients. Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, and pharmacy. Patient diagnoses vary and include a range from medical to surgical ICU. Special procedures in the unit include transplants and advanced cardiac care. Nurses should expect to care for patients with complex medical needs.
