The engineer will implement routing and agent chaining, manage reusable tools and skills, and turn returned results into grounded narratives, tables, charts and consistent response payloads. The structured-data query capability already exists; this role builds the application logic and contracts around it. Minimum capabilities ? Strong Python or TypeScript backend engineering experience ? Production experience with agent orchestration, tool calling, workflow routing and multi-agent chaining ? Strong API and schema design skills, including structured JSON input and output contracts ? Experience combining user intent, conversation history, screen context and filters into downstream agent requests ? Experience transforming agent results into narratives, tables, charts, citations and consistent application responses ? Hands-on experience building and deploying GenAI services with AWS, Amazon Bedrock and AgentCore ? Ability to independently deliver tested, production-ready code with minimal guidance Preferred ? Experience building capability registries, agent and tool catalogs, workflow skills or discovery services ? Experience with MCP and API-first GenAI applications ? Experience building analytics applications on top of existing semantic-layer or data-query agentsPay rate range: $70-87/hr depending on experience
