Manager of Business Development Strategy - M&A

Our client is seeking an experienced and resourceful Manager or Senior Manager of Business Development Strategy - Mergers & Acquisitions to join the Strategy & Marketing Team covering Corporate M&A. This individual will support the continued growth and success of the Corporate & Transactional practices. They play a key role in the development and execution of strategic business development and marketing initiatives. Preference is for Palo Alto but open to Los Angeles, New York, DC, or Virginia. About the Role The Manager or Senior Manager of Business Development Strategy will be responsible for planning, supporting, and implementing a broad array of business development activities to help expand our client's business and reputation. This is not a sales position Responsibility Working with the Corporate and Transactions Sector, and with the support of colleagues across the platform, this individual will advise lawyers on effective client pitch strategi Conduct research and analysis Create compelling proposals and pitch materials Manage strategic events. Complete lawyer directory and league table submissions. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in marketing or a related field. Minimum of five years of relevant experience in professional services or law firm business development. Required Skills Good level of experience in M&A, you need to know the foundation and terms of M&A Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. Collegial, collaborative, and team player attributes. Ability to juggle numerous high visibility projects on fast timetables. Ability to handle high-pressure environments. Strong to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Some knowledge of applications/programs specific to the legal field. Preferred Skills Experience in law firm business development.
