SOUS CHEF

Job Summary As a Sous Chef, you will supervise the daily operations of the Culinary Department for a facility, assist in menu development, oversee food preparation, manage cost controls, and produce catering events. Key Responsibilities Assist the Executive Chef with managing cost controls and expenditures for the account. Assist in planning and creating menus. Produce and execute catering events. Roll out new culinary programs in conjunction with company marketing and culinary team. Preferred Qualifications A.S. or equivalent experience. Progressive culinary/kitchen management experience. Catering experience. High-volume, complex foodservice operations experience. Institutional and batch cooking experience. Knowledge of food and catering trends with focus on quality, production, sanitation, cost controls, and presentation. Proficiency with computers: Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Email, and the Internet. Willingness to participate in client satisfaction programs. ServSafe certification (highly desirable).
