Role: On-Call Interventional Cardiologist Salt Lake City, UT

Location: VA Salt Lake City Health Care System, Salt Lake City, UT

Job Type: On-Call / PRN / Contract

Duration: Approximately September 2026 August 2027

Key Requirements

Board Certified or Board Eligible in Interventional Cardiology
Completed accredited cardiology residency/fellowship training
Current, full, unrestricted U.S. medical license
Active BLS and ACLS
Experience with cardiac catheterization and complex interventional procedures
Must respond by phone within 5 minutes and report onsite within 30 minutes when activated

Required Clinical Skills

Cardiac catheterization
PCI and coronary interventions
Balloon angioplasty and atherectomy
Coronary/peripheral vascular stenting
IVUS and intracoronary Doppler studies
Rheolytic thrombectomy
Pericardiocentesis
Endocardial biopsies
Intra-aortic balloon pump placement
High-risk coronary and peripheral interventions
