TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Med/Surg RN in Wilmington, North Carolina, 28401!

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years required, Traveler experience accepted License: NC or Compact license pending acceptable for submittal Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS preferred Must-Have: Teamwork approach to patient care Focus on patient safety Description: This is a Neuro Unit. The unit will accept first-time travelers. Local candidates are accepted. Patient ratios are 1:6. Weekend requirement includes 5-6 shifts every other weekend. Travelers may be required to float to other units. Contract staff may be assigned to work in a Storm or Hurricane Team. Contract staff may be required to report to work during catastrophic events or disasters. Must have a teamwork approach and meet behavioral expectations in all interactions with patients and staff. Must pass EKG testing prior to start for this specialty. All RTO must be pre-approved. RTO after booking is not allowed and cannot be worked out onsite. Candidates must be open to floating within or near the facility as needed. Must work 2 of 3 major holidays. All testing must be completed within 48 hours after signing. No additional RTO can be requested after signing. This unit treats diagnoses focused on general medicine with an emphasis on neurology. There are interdisciplinary support services available including respiratory services, physical therapy, and pharmacy. Candidates must adhere to the call-off policy which is strongly enforced.
