About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in the last 5 years License: Active RN license required Certifications: BLS Must-Have: Must be able to take heparin drips. PCA, colostomy care, and feeding tube care and management. Blood product administration and central line management. Peripheral line care and management, phlebotomy, and PICC line management. IV starts. Management of dysrhythmias and oxygen protocol management. Non-invasive airway management. Isolation precautions and PPE. Experience with traumatic brain injury, orthopedic trauma, surgical drains, chest tubes, nasal cannula, oral suctioning, tracheostomy management, and wound care. Epic documentation experience required. ACLS preferred. Description: This role requires a nurse proficient in managing critical care patients with severe injuries to the bones, joints, and soft tissue. Candidates must demonstrate knowledge in neurological trauma and spine injuries. Target patient ratios for the shift are between 1:6-7. Candidates should be comfortable with these patient ratios. The position requires working every other weekend. Travelers may be assigned to emergency response teams. Contract staff may be required to report to work during catastrophic events or disasters. This position includes collaboration with interdisciplinary teams such as physical therapy and rapid response teams. Candidates are expected to float to similar units as necessary. All RTO must be pre-approved. Failure to comply with RTO policies may result in cancellation of the contract.
