SR MANUFACTURING ENGINEER

Senior Manufacturing EngineerWe are seeking an experienced Senior Manufacturing Engineer to support our Automated Assembly operations. This role is responsible for improving manufacturing safety, quality, productivity, equipment performance, and process capability while providing hands-on technical leadership to production. The Senior Manufacturing Engineer will lead continuous improvement initiatives, troubleshoot complex manufacturing issues, support new product and equipment launches, and drive improvements in OEE, scrap, cycle time, downtime, capacity, and cost.Manufacturing and Process ImprovementLead process and equipment improvements focused on safety, quality, productivity, scrap reduction, OEE, downtime, cycle time, and capacityIdentify and implement continuous improvement opportunities using TEOA/Lean Manufacturing principlesAnalyze manufacturing performance and develop practical solutions to improve process capability, equipment reliability, and operational efficiencySupport customer quality issues and corrective actions through structured root-cause analysisApply engineering tools such as PFMEA, Control Plans, SPC, MSA, DOE, capability studies, 8D, and 5 Why as appropriateProduction and Technical SupportProvide hands-on engineering support to high-volume automated assembly operationsTroubleshoot complex mechanical, electrical, tooling, pneumatic, controls, vision, and automation-related issuesWork closely with Production, Quality, Tooling, Controls, Maintenance, and other technical teams to resolve manufacturing problemsSupport tooling, fixtures, dies, gauges, sensors, servos, pneumatic systems, and industrial automation equipmentSupport machine vision systems, including platforms such as Cognex and KeyenceNew Equipment and Product IntroductionSupport new product introductions, capacity expansions, equipment transfers, and equipment qualificationsDevelop technical requirements and support the specification, purchase, installation, debugging, qualification, and launch of manufacturing equipmentWork with machine builders, automation integrators, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure equipment meets manufacturing requirementsSupport process validation, capability studies, production readiness, and equipment qualification activitiesProject and Technical LeadershipLead capital, productivity, safety, and continuous improvement projectsManage multiple projects and production priorities simultaneouslyPrepare technical recommendations, equipment specifications, capital justifications, reports, and process documentationPresent technical issues, recommendations, and project updates to leadershipLead cross-functional teams and mentor engineers, technicians, and manufacturing personnel without direct reporting responsibilityRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline preferredMinimum of 5 years of Manufacturing Engineering experience, preferably in a high-volume automated manufacturing environmentStrong hands-on troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skillsExperience supporting automated manufacturing or automated assembly equipmentWorking knowledge of mechanical systems, tooling, pneumatics, PLCs, controls, sensors, servos, robotics, and industrial automationExperience leading manufacturing improvement, automation, productivity, or capital projectsExperience with CAD software and strong proficiency with Microsoft ExcelStrong communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and organizational skillsAbility to work independently, prioritize effectively, and lead cross-functional activitiesCompensationCompetitive base salary commensurate with experience: $102,500 – $128,100 (subject to change dependent on physical location)BenefitsA comprehensive benefits package including health insurance, 401(k), disability, life insurance, employee stock purchase plan, paid time off and voluntary benefits.
