Medical Front Desk Receptionist

Job Description Job Description What You'll Do Greet and check in patients, collect demographics, and scan IDs and insurance cards Verify insurance eligibility and benefits prior to appointments Schedule, confirm, and reschedule appointments for multiple providers Answer multi-line phones, route calls, and take accurate messages Collect copays and balances, and reconcile daily payments Assist with authorizations, referrals, and medical records requests Help patients complete intake paperwork and forms, including disability paperwork as needed Request imaging and prior records from outside offices Maintain a clean, welcoming front office and waiting area Coordinate with back office staff, medical assistants, and surgery coordinators to keep patient flow on schedule What We're Looking For 1+ year of front desk experience in a medical office (specialty or surgical practice a plus) Working knowledge of insurance verification, including HMO, PPO, Medi-Cal, and Medicare Experience with EMR/practice management systems (AdvancedMD a plus) Strong customer service and communication skills Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while staying calm and professional High school diploma or equivalent Willing to travel to our Glendora office as needed to provide coverage Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred \nCompany Description California Surgical Specialists is a growing surgical practice dedicated to providing high-quality, compassionate care to patients across the Inland Empire.
