Join Our Team as a Maintenance Technician (with Electrical Background)

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. In this role, you will keep our facility running safely and efficiently. You will handle routine building maintenance, but your primary value will be troubleshooting, repairing, and upgrading our electrical systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Electrical Troubleshooting: Diagnose and repair issues with lighting, wiring, switches, outlets, and circuit breakers.
• Routine Maintenance: Complete scheduled preventive maintenance on facility equipment, HVAC units, and electrical panels.
• General Repairs: Handle basic carpentry, plumbing fixes, painting, and minor mechanical repairs around the property based on a daily ticket board request system.
• Safety & Compliance: Ensure all work meets local building and National Electrical Codes (NEC) while maintaining strict OSHA safety standards.
• Emergency Response: Respond quickly to urgent maintenance requests, power failures, or equipment breakdowns during your shift.
• Vendor Coordination: Assist external contractors on major electrical or mechanical overhauls when necessary.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Experience: 2 to 4 years of proven experience in facility maintenance with a heavy focus on electrical work.
• Technical Skills: Ability to safely use diagnostic tools like multimeters, wire strippers, and conduit benders.
• Physical Stamina: Capability to lift up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, and work in tight or elevated spaces.
• Work Ethic: Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a focus on safety.
• Familiarity with commercial HVAC controls or automated building systems.
• Knowledge: Strong understanding of local and national electrical codes (NEC) and OSHA safety rules.
• Valid drivers license at all times

Schedule Expectations: Due to the needs of the hospitality industry, employees must be available to work varying schedules, including rotating on-call, weekday, and weekend shifts. Technicians are expected to follow the on-call protocol established by Gervasi management.
