Location: Elkhart, IN
Shift: 1st Shift, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Schedule flexibility required based on production needs)
Pay: $32.00 – $35.00 per hour, based on experience

Job Summary

This position is ideal for a mechanically inclined professional who enjoys troubleshooting equipment, implementing preventative maintenance programs, and building organized systems that support long-term operational success.

What You’ll Be Doing

As a Maintenance Technician, your core responsibilities will include:

-Performing preventative and corrective maintenance: Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair production equipment including mills, lathes, routers, planers, saws, molders, and other manufacturing machinery to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.

-Developing and managing preventative maintenance programs: Create, implement, and maintain an organized internal system for scheduling, tracking, and documenting preventative maintenance activities across all equipment and machinery.

-Troubleshooting mechanical equipment: Diagnose equipment issues, identify root causes, and perform repairs using a variety of hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic techniques to keep production running smoothly.

-In addition, you will also be expected to maintain maintenance records, coordinate maintenance priorities with production teams, ensure equipment compliance with safety standards, and recommend improvements to increase equipment reliability and efficiency.

What We’re Looking For

To be successful in this role, you should have the following:

Qualifications:

1. Previous industrial maintenance experience required
2. Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and repair manufacturing equipment
3. Experience performing preventative maintenance (PMs) and equipment inspections
4. Thorough understanding of Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures and workplace safety standards
5. Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple maintenance tasks
6. Flexibility to adjust work schedules as needed to support production requirements

Skills:

-Mechanical Troubleshooting: Strong ability to diagnose and repair mechanical issues on a variety of manufacturing equipment.

-Organization & Planning: Capable of creating and maintaining a structured preventative maintenance program and maintenance tracking system.

-Tool Proficiency: Experienced using hand tools, power tools, measuring instruments, and maintenance-related equipment safely and effectively.
